At September 14 regular sitting of the RA National Assembly, the issue of electing a candidate for the judge of the Court of Cassation was debated.

It should be reminded that the Supreme Judicial Council nominated Hovsep Bedevyan, Hrach Ayvazyan and Liana Hakobyan as candidates for the vacant position of the judge of the Civil and Administrative Chamber of the Court of Cassation.

The SJC Acting Chairman Gagik Jhangiryan presented the third candidate for the judge of the Court of Cassation Liana Hakobyan’s biography to the parliamentarians.

Gagik Jhangiryan answered to the deputies’ questions.

Liana Hakobyan presented the problems existing in the judicial system and her vision on the ways for their solutions. The candidate particularly singled out the problem of an overload of the courts, presenting her proposals and possible applicable mechanisms to mitigate it.
